Proponent must meet state and local requirements; - the landing area must be limited to private use only; - all operations must be conducted visually. because this is a private use heliport, all operators proceed at their own risk, and to enhance the safety of operations, the faa recommends: 1. the approach and departure paths are adhered to as shown in the owner's proposed plan. 2. a wind indicator is maintained adjacent to the heliport, away from the approach and departure routes, and outside the safety area. 3. no night helicopter operations are conducted unless the heliport and wind indicator are lit in accordance with ac 150/5390-2c, paragraphs 415 and 411c. 4. the takeoff/landing area be appropriately marked, including gross weight and maximum helicopter dimension markings in accordance with ac 150/5390-2c, paragraph 414b3. 5. fire protection is provided in accordance with the nfpa 418, local fire code and ac 150/5390-2c. 6. unauthorized persons are restrained from access to the takeoff/landing area during helicopter flight operations by use of a non-obstructing safety barrier. 7. a heliport inspection is completed within 15 days of completion of construction and prior to operational use of the heliport. this inspection should be completed by the dupage fsdo (630) 443-3100... 8. the heliport proponent will reexamine obstacles in the vicinity of the approach/departure paths...
