Description
  • TPA is 2000ft.
  • Arriving RWY 10 fly downwind leg up to mountain, turn base after passing house on the hill with pool (avoid directly overflying house on the hill with pool).
  • Departing RWY 10 turn left 45 degrees toward railroad bridge to avoid >200ft hill.
  • According to the [EAA Chapter website](https://eaa-chapter-1662.square.site/) they offer camping. Probably a good idea to call to confirm.
  • When arriving runway 10, fly a downwind leg up to the mountain, turn base after passing the house on the hill with pool (avoid directly overflying this house though please).
  • When departing runway 10 turn left 45 degrees toward the railroad bridge to avoid the 200ft hill.
  • Traffic pattern altitude here is 2000ft AGL due to obstacles.
  • Camping is permitted on the field per the [EAA Chapter website](https://eaa-chapter-1662.square.site/). This should be confirmed prior to camping, however.

Landing & Tie-down Fees
  • The airport is maintained by the members and there is no transient tiedown fee, but donations are gratefully accepted by mail to the Marion Airport Commission, PO Box 1298, Marion, NC 28752.
Fuel Location
  • Fuel is only available to members. Contact a member on the field if you are a transient and in urgent need of fuel.
