Skyline Peak is an interesting airport both in story and location. Supposedly built for the nearby ski resort, it was constructed relatively recently circa 2005-2009 when it was activated. The runway is literally carved out of the mountain and really not safe at all. It seems that the owners realized this after construction was completed because it was promptly marked as closed indefinitely.
