Mexican Mountain is considered one of, if not the, best backcountry airport in Utah. Located in a picturesque setting next to the San Rafael river, Mexican Mountain is a favorite location for plane camping.
Note that its location next to the river means that portions of the runway may flood. Flooding, high elevation, and an already short runway of ~1,800ft creates challenging operating conditions. Take care landing here.
