Copalis is the only public airport in the United States located on a beach. Landing here is possible in just about any plane, but the "runway" is not marked so knowing where to land is critical. Being aware of the tides is critical as well as the runway is quite literally underwater at high tide.
Doing a low pass (or two) is virtually mandatory to look for potential debris on the runway and to scare off any pedestrians that have wandered onto the runway.
