Crew Car Availability
  • I accidentally left the spare set of Space Shuttle keys in my other Saturn V rocket, and it's currently parked on the moon.
Description
  • This is an awesome airport because of its history as the landing spot for the Space Shuttle. While you can't land here, contact Orlando Approach and request clearance into the restricted area and a low approach over the runway. You should expect a clearance to maintain 500' above the runway (which is at sea level, so 500' MSL). If the tower is open, Approach will hand you off.
  • Enjoy the sights of flying down a 15,000 foot runway and look out to the east at the Vehicle Assembly Building (the big white building) and the launch complexes further to the east, along the shore.
  • Stay **west** of the runway centerline.
