Description
  • Indian Creek is one of the easier Idaho backcountry airports to visit. The approach to the southwest is fairly straightforward and the runway is quite long. Indian Creek sees a good amount of traffic for dropping off rafting parties (in fact, at one point it had regularly scheduled commercial flights).
  • Camping is available on both ends of the runway. On the south end there is a campground by the river adjacent to the raft launch. However, this is down a large set of stairs. Alternatively, there is a campsite above the river to the northeast of the parking area that is easier to get to and has a better view of the river. Furthermore, there is another parking & camping area at the north end of the runway. The only amenities here are a pit toliet and water available at the guard station.
