Description
||

Parlin is a small field tucked into the mountains. It has a small ramp for transient parking, a grass strip, 100LL and CAMPING ON FIELD!

The camping sites are located west of the runway. Each site has a picnic bench and a fire ring. A great place to lay over for a night. Due to its location the mornings can get foggy.

There are hiking and running trails around the field as well as the Sugar River that is accessible from trails just off the camp sites.

The pilot lounge has a computer, wood stove, running potable water, and a bathroom.

    I travel here with my kids from time to time. We’ve camped on field three times. It is a lot of fun. If you like this airport send them a check for the volunteer activities. They host a fireworks event in the summer which is pretty spectacular.

    The approach for 18 is a little tricky, it is a downhill landing and there are trees fairly close to the end so plan accordingly for landing 18 or departing 36. Landing 36 and departing 18 if winds are low works well.
