xxxxxxxxxxKAST is a regional airport with a small flight school, active Coast Guard base, and Bar Pilot helicopter operations.It's too far to walk to restaurants and town but there is a courtesy car and a pilot lounge with snacks and coffee. Astoria is a great airport to fly out to, the pilots lounge has a great porch to sit and hang out on days when it’s stupid hot in the interior but nice and cool on the coast. More often than not I catch a bit of a burble on final into 32.
