Description
Indian Creek is one of the easier Idaho backcountry airports to visit. The approach to the southwest is fairly straightforward and the runway is quite long. Indian Creek sees a good amount of traffic for dropping off rafting parties (in fact, at one point it had regularly scheduled commercial flights). Camping is available on both ends of the runway. On the south end there is a campground by the river adjacent to the raft launch. However, this is down a large set of stairs. Alternatively, there is a campsite above the river to the northeast of the parking area that is easier to get to and has a better view of the river. Furthermore, there is another parking & camping area at the north end of the runway. The only amenities here are a pit toliet and water available at the guard station.
