There's not much to do on Dog Island other than walk on the quiet beaches. There are about 100 permanent residents here, and the entire island is private, with a nature conservancy owning much of the island to keep it undeveloped.
Please pay the landing fee ($20) and overnight fee ($5) if spending the night.
Dog Island is the place to visit for a walk on quiet beaches. There are about 100 permanent residents here, and the entire island is private, with a nature conservancy owning much of the island to keep it undeveloped.
There are some hiking trails, and some rental houses. Everything on the island comes over by ferry (little more than a fishing boat).
